I asked you TopHats week ago, day or 3 after you started this thread to add me to the German team, you didn't want to do it because "it will ruin the tournament meaning"...

Hello everyone! I am announcing that the AtWar World Cup will start in one week from now! Meaning I'll be posting the brackets next Saturday (the 22nd)

We currently have 10 teams participating. If your country isn't in the tourney yet don't worry you have one week to come up with at least 2 players and I'll add your country.

I also allowed a minimum 2 players for a country out of generosity. But, I've also added players to some countries (that haven't posted in the thread that they wanted to participate) just as a back up. For example, I added Cow to Germany. He didnt ask to be in the tourney, but this is just to make the tourney as active as possible.

Once the tourney begins, I WILL NOT MAKE ANY PLAYER ADDITIONS OR COUNTRY ADDITIONS. Therefore I am adding the players that I know are from the countries participating to their respective countries. If you are one of these players that I added, like cow for example, don't take it as an insult, it is entirely your choice if you want to participate or not. But your name will remain on the list. The added players will be marked in RED.

I will post additional rules later this week. (They will be very similar to Hugo's rules) Meaning I will be very strict on deadlines and tournament activity, since I've been generous with adding new players and making the minimum for a team at two players.

I've decided to add the brackets 3 hours earlier! (I'm busy tomorrow)

There are 10 teams participating! Two pools of 5 teams. The teams were shuffled randomly and I took the first result (first shuffle) 1-5 were placed in pool A whilst 6-10 were placed in pool B

Each team will play every team from their pool once (4 games each in total). The top 8 teams from both pools will proceed to the double elimination phase (Same as every other 1v1 tournament we've had). The bottom 2 teams, however, will be eliminated. Amongst the top 8 teams, of course, by tradition, will be sorted by seeds such as the following:

1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

This will be according to win/loss ratio. If in the result of a tie, it will be determined by earned SP in each match by each player. So be sure to take a screenshot of the points, and not simply the won/loss message box.

For the points, it will be the earned sp of each player, not the accumulative received from enemies and so on. (That would require SSs from everyone and it would be too complicated) Also, I think this system is fair enough.

Tournament starts right now, feel free to play your matches! Remember that games must be minimum 2v2 and a maximum of 4v4.

The deadline is July 31st for all teams to play their 4 matches.

thanks for the bump, yes people, play your games!

and yes, we should play:) desu and I are on fairly often, it shouldn't be a problem.
