Maybe they could have a tag to make the cartographers stand out like the elite dot, but actually pass some powers down.
I know that currently the mods are regulating the maps and deciding on featured maps, but surely it is more reasonable to allow the insiders sort this out.
Map-makers could then share the load in:
1) Deleting unplayed, not updated old maps (mainly aimed at the 145 paged scenarios)
2) Independent rating system that is changeable over time (future work done on the map)
3) Helping out other new map-makers (since they will have tags next to them)
4) Commenting on the maps, so that everyone can see the expert opinions
5) Deciding on featured Maps,Presets,Scenarios
What do you think guys?

This is not necessary we make maps for the good of the people not for recognition or power.

I Support ezzatam, but here is a little modification to rule number 1:
1) Auto-Unpublish maps that where not played in more than 2 months.

I do not support this.
Let the mods handle the maps.
Making a few maps does not entitle you to extra powers within the game, nor should you require any extra recognition because of it.
