Question, so from my understanding, the strongest unit attacks first. By that logic subs die first in Mos: https://prnt.sc/FsLe1U8u180K but what about GW, when subs and marines are evenly matched in terms of attack? I've always had the marines die first, but is there a 50/50 probability? And if its marines that die first, wouldn't it make more sense for the subs to die first since subs can't take a city.

I have this same complaint. It makes a surprise attack almost impossible to take the city unless you only use the marines. Otherwise you have to do a 2 turn attack. Get your marines on shore and attack with only subs to kill as many as you can. Then use the marines to capture hoping the defender doesn't fortify enough. Shitty situation. Should be a fix in my opinion.

Best solution is to tweak the subs so that they can take cities , like naval transports and air transports.

Actually this sounds nice, could give CO more viability

It's 50/50 unfortunately.
