How Dead is atWar?

A single question.

AtWar is great and very much alive, as evidenced by having over 100 casual main games going at one time, and about 150-200 casual beginner games going at one time.

However, these occasional streaks of lost connections, sometimes lasting a few weeks at a time, cannot continue (or at least, get fixed faster).

Are they attacks by disgruntled atWar players , or is it just overload ? I've got two premium-for-life accounts, and I've bought several rounds of protocoins with both accounts. I'm playing every night, joining and starting casual games. Not sure what else I can do.

When we speak about aw we are most likely excluding casual players. It's basically it's own seperate eco system.

Fair enough - last winter, when things were pretty bad, the casual room was low - there were only about 1/2 to 2/3 as many casual games as there are now. For whatever that's worth.

GAME NOT FOUND.

We need to figure out what the issue could be and how we as a community could come together and support atwar in solving it. we all owe it to this game for keeping us entertained for god knows how long.

Its not our perogative... its the owners.

Anything the community can reasonably do has been done

Connection closed and web socket issues. It has not happened before in the past weeks.

The developers gotta fix these connection issues soon it's becoming unbearable

Let me know. just one hacker is holding in ransom the whole community by launchin several ddos ?

It's as dead as my wish to study.

Compared to most mindless games out there, this is without doubt a good game concept. Can it be better, obviously yes. To my mind the biggest single problem by far is the platform instability. I get kicked out of a game at least once a day, sometimes more often. If this problem can be fixed, I would say most if not all of the other problems will in time correct themselves. Like Ratwar, I have purchased 2 lifetime accounts and have purchased protocoins on a periodic basis. I would be more than happy to purchase a third account, if I knew the money would go toward fixing the platform instability. In other words we will only get what we pay for. Food for thought...

Fam, there are literally 20 people in the main lobby right now and that's how it has been for over a week

I think this game is dying thanks to this asshat who won't quit DDoSing us. I mean me and my friends play this game a lot, even during lunch at school. Thanks to the DDoSing, however, it is becoming increasingly frustrating even after this '2 weeks' of attacks. Soon we might join that strike that is going about. I have played this game for almost 2 years but if they cannot end the DDoSing or at least reduce it then I am leaving this game.

I am pretty sure the community has done what they can do to one of the highest extents, the developers need to work on stopping it. We also know what it is... it is DDoSing. It is kind of obvious anyways.

We've got some extra DDoS protection installed now, let's see if it helps.

Well, Amok is hoping to find a programmer to finish the editor. I'm hoping to find some time to work on it too, even though the remaining bits seem to be outside of my dev skills.
