Croatia and Slovenia are improving a lot.

I agree btw croatians seem to be making great progress, serbia seems a little lost in the 90s but by no means a failure, montenegro is a cabbage, Bosnia is having a identity crises and think they are the final bastion of the ottoman empire, slovenia thinks its a little austria, Bulgarians are shady as hell, and poor greece is getting raped by globalist to ensure the greeks never rise from the ashes and challenge there authority again.

To be honest I believed for the longest time that Albania wasn't a real country because of atWar forums

That's why I said they are 2nd to 3rd world countries, because of the economy, infrastructure. Slovenia has an excellent infrastructure and yes, I know about Croatia too (I heared good things about Slovakia too, but this is the upper Balkans, where they are supposed to be richer), but they are still poor. Even the giant (compared with these little Balkan states) Romania is poor compared with any average 1st world country. Yea, Enver Hoxa, schooled at Paris and doing so much evil to his people...

If you study the history of the Balkans you'll find out that Romania south of Carpathians (Banat of Severin, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrudza, big chunks of Moldavia) can be easily integrated in the Balkans, only Transsylvania, Maramuresch, Satmar, Banat of Timis, Bukowina are out of reach of the Balkans even though they maintained all the times strong ties with the Balkans and were somehow influenced by it.

You need to be familiar with historical figures like Phanariotes in Moldavia and Wallachia, with concepts like the economic and cultural Ottoman sphere of influence which spread from Persia to Hungary (Balkans included oO). I strongly believe wiki is a poor instructor concerning these thingies. And yes, it's semi-irrelevant to the present topic.
