After going through a shit childhood and seeing not only my parents lives ruined, but friends as well, is it even worth the suffering? over 50% of mariages end in divorce with the wife taking everything and running off with her new bf. why would anyone get tied down to inevitable divorce that will costs thousands and put children through extreme stress. if u think relationships are bad, mariage seems like signing ur soul to the devil

No, it's not worth it anymore unless you actually find a girl that isn't brainwashed with the shit people throw at us everyday from websites. You gotta find a nice country girl. Or a girl with a penis.

You could also take women as sex slaves if marriage is too daunting.

Without marriage, there would be no divorce. Divorce is among the most lucrative areas in law. It also creates jobs in counseling, child protective services, policing, mediation, property assessment, and other indirect jobs through social services. As you noted, nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce, so the economic damage of functional families cannot be facilitated as it would be devastating economically. Money is of course more important to these lawyers and business folks than supporting quality relationships and family values. So they create huge financial incentives for one of the spouses to destroy all they created. All hail the money gods. Don't ever question why! Look at this way: your '$h!+' childhood made life very wonderful for a few lawyers and their families. Love that you contributed to this ♥

I married because my wife is from america and I am from germany, makes less paperwork when you want to live in one country together. I just viewed it as a thing for us to stay together. Since I am an atheist I just married in court and not in church, so I really just viewed it as a thing for us to stay together. What I didn't expect is how everyone starts treating you differently, there is a wierd image in peoples heads about how a married couple should be. Had I known before how it changes you in the eyes of the people, I would have found another way for us to stay together. Fucking tired of how people try to get you to behave like they think you should. If you can avoid it, don't get married.

It's definitely worth it for the tax break assuming the woman you marry has a good paying job ^_^
