From there the cells learned to multiply through chemical processes creating diverse life such as dogs, cats, humans, ect. A fetus is using someone's body parts. Therefore under bodily autonomy, it is there by permission, not by right. It needs a persons continuous consent. If they deny and withdraw their consent, the pregnant person has the right to remove them from that moment. A fetus is equal in this regard because if I need someone else's body parts to live, they can also legally deny me their use.
By saying a fetus has a right to someone's body parts until it's born, despite the pregnant person's wishes, you are doing two things.

1. Granting a fetus more rights to other people's bodies than any born person.
2. Awarding a pregnant person less rights to their body than a corpse.

Embryo is a clump of cells incapable of surviving on its own. If a dead person does not have to help a fully formed functioning person, how can you expect a woman to sacrifice herself to help a clump of cells?

Some 68,000 women die of unsafe abortion annually, making it one of the leading causes of maternal mortality (13%).

Funny how most of the "pro-life" supporters are male (around 75% i read in a poll) when women seem to be pretty clear on their intentions, as shown above. The difference is that 70.000 of them die every year, because religious, frustrated males want to play with words.

Even if the heart beats and the blood flows, if a person has no consciousness/ is in a coma, do you think he really is alive? Same with the embryo/fetus, the medical consensus is of a mind that conciousness develops after the 24th week of pregnancy and even then its debatable.

So its definately a no, embryos are no more alive than sperm is.

Most evolutionary studies would find that a species/society adapts and survives for the sole benefit of its future generations. Everything about a living organsims is geared to the benifit of the future generation. Humans managed to defy natural population control methods, they are on the top of the food chain, they beat hunger, diseases and viruses, they worked medical and technological wonders. Humans are now rensponsible for their own population control.
