This is literally how they make the ranks for this game

the official ranks are all minimalist, if we go with your formula we are going to end up with 17 autistic dots for rank 17

Each rank follows a pattern shift to indicate an increase in the integer value associated with player SP allocation.

I would personally say we need a 7-pointed star for it to not look jumbled at this point. Either that, or they switch to a symbol or integer-based ranking system after rank 15.

Not really, it just looks like 4 stars jumbled together in a mannered fashion. I'd rather recommend the unique figure that we get right now. A R1 symbol on top of that for R17 could look good too.

That's impossible to fit on the current shield, and is far too busy from a design standpoint to be feasible.
