There are tons of people who play 3v3's on the Europe+ map. Literally 90% of all cw's are on this feature. I think, (and this is just an opinion) that it's being played a little too much, even if it is a good map.
Sure, there are tons of rp's. I'm not saying that's better. Sure, you have to know how to wall and such in 3v3, unlike in rp where you troop spam. But that's not the point. Rp's are designed to be too laggy to wall (:P) , and revolves around the requirements that people chat and there is world peace.
Anyways, people are considered pros by mastering Eu+ 3v3.
Why not have 3v2 Oceania cw's? World 5/3k? Why not ancient? This is a strategy game. Should it still be strategic if what's considered a good player, one that can wall and move his/her units sure, but also one who memorizes how to play as France, Germany, Italy, UK, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, etc? I think what makes a good player is their ability to be flexible, able to adapt. Knowing every single Eu+ 3v3 expansion isn't going to help in Ancient, is it?
I do realize that there are some people who love 3v3's. I have nothing against 3v3's, I just think they shouldn't be the center point of this game. I challenge people to take a month without playing on Europe+.

What do you guys think? Do you love 3v3's as much as rp'ers love rp? And is there something missing that I don't understand about 3v3's? Are you willing to try 3v1 europe+ instead? hehehehe

EDIT: I'm not pointing fingers at 3v3'ers. This can be for everybody. Don't think others are terrible until you've tried them, and besides, just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad.

Eu 10k is the ground that requires the most skills.
I understand what Zexil say about every players memorizing stuff but Europe+ will always be the ground that requires best skill and also is one of the most interesting map of this game : In term of balance, in term of range skills, different possibilities, money management, nearly all strat works on it.

Like zone said above europe+ is the map that is the basic roots of AW. Most of the people start playing here in beginners room and some end up playing it during their whole AW carreer. Alot of people say you dont learn anything playing europe+ all the time but that isnt true. I even had a thread about 2 scenarioplayers who played europe for the first time in a long time. Now, I do agree with you and some people actually play more different based 3v3/duels, on euroasia/north america/south america/africa. Even recent tournaments are now more with different maps.

But I do agree that some people need to stop cry when someone picks RNW or Sweden or any other ''troll'' pick. Learn to play with different countries and actually have fun instead of caring so much about wins/elo. Worldgames should totally make a comeback because those were the most fun to play (my opinion). But people cry about it taking to much time and stuff.

People do play ancient CWs.

Why would anyone play 2v3? Just to be different?

World games are too long for most people, that's why you don't see a lot of 3/5k world CWs.

You are correct people should play more settings and maps. You'll find my clan (Illyria) and Mortal Kombat try to do this often. You should however be realistic and understand why Eu+ 3v3 is played as often as it is.

In response to the OP, People have and do play on all the mentioned settings except for world(due to time constraints). And yes to answer your question there is something you're missing. Please find me a map on aw as diverse and interesting as europe+ where games can be completed on average within an hour.

you know, i would consider this a troll post but it is a notion ive seen parroted by quite a few high rank members of this community. Have any of you ever tried memorising Eu+ expansions for 10k and trying to beat a good player with them? Did you fail? Do you feel its because you just haven't memorised the country enough? It is a terrible, unhealthy and incorrect belief. Learning off will at best give you a strong turn 1 and 2, Unless youve gained an overwhelming advantage at that point you will probably lose if your opponent is skilled.

Europe is not the best map, but something better has yet to be found.

I do realize that, I was sorta tired while typing that up, I meant that 3v3'ers shouldn't try to hate rp'ers because they're noob. My point there was that rp'ers are, typically, better at the chatting/diplomacy part of atwar, but not the things others have mentioned.

You're sorta missing my point, I was just throwing some stuff out there. There are tons of maps, presets and such, hell, if you wanted to you could rp 10v10.

Definitely, fun should be everyone's #1 priority.

Look, all i'm saying is that people should be more diverse. Misleading title and stuff, but I'm just encouraging people to try something new, challenge yourselves!

Also, for long games, wouldn't it be possible to set up casual cw's? Or is that not possible? I realize casual's not perfect and people might have busy weeks and go on vacations, but that could be an idea for y'all. Just sayin

Mace + Carthage + Syria + Campania + Sparta + Pontus + Egypt + Rodhos. Not that unbalanced as you could expect it to be.

You also have to change your turn 1 and 2 espanion because it will make enemy predict u better
