The Ghost Writer.

This is Polanski's finest. Also, the only movie ever that has kept my attention the entire way through which I was watching with someone else.

It's a political thriller film (also my favourite genre of novels) and it's very engrossing.
Recommended to anyone who wants to involve themselves (it seriously draws you in) in any movie with a complex plot.

I saw it in the cinema and I didn't expect much from it as it was a free ticket that I used which I got in some magazine or something, but it was well worth it. Over a year later, I'm still struck by its plot and the connections to real-life it makes. It comes from a novel (of the same name), actually.

Just go out and buy it now if the shops are open. Don't pirate this. Seriously. I pirate stuff (no point in not admitting it) but I always buy the things I like.

Take my word for it; you'll be blown away by how good this is. Buy it. You are missing out by not having watched this film. That is all.

Sorry, but it's a shitty film with a shallow and horrible diegesis. It's hollywoodesque pseudo-post-apocalyptic with some pop-religious elements and cheap action-pron for stupid us-americans. You should watch more films like this one and after some time doing so you'll realize, that The book of Eli is something Albert and Allen Hughes should be tortured for.

Yeah, screw everyone else in the camps.

If you believe half of what they say about the Germans then you are a fool. Of course, horrific things may have occurred but some of the claims are ludicrous. Most especially about the commandant. To claim he took potshots out his window for fun. Yet his house wasn't even near or at an angle to fire upon the camp.

There are many complete fabrications made up that have been proven wrong. It's an atrocious film, made by a Jew who hates the Germans who continually creates films to depict Germans as horrific creatures that need to be killed. It's typical war propaganda they have been pushing decades after the thing ended.

Haha, that's actually a common criticism of games like that. Especially Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty.

Call of Duty, you might ask yourself? It has a bunch of cutscenes but they're not that lengthy.
It's because the Call of Duty campaigns feel scripted through and through.

I remember one mission in CoD MW3 where you were going through this house and around the corner, there was a bad guy who ran in at the same time as you with a rifle and was liable to kill you. Also, an ally screamed something I can't remember and there was more rat-tat-at from outside. Every time you go through that building, the exact same shit happens; guy enters from other door; ally screams; you hear renewed gunfire outside.

That's why the Call of Duty series gets a lot of criticism. Its campaign is also very easy. Multiplayer is still a blast though, especially on Hardcore mode with Kill Confirmed on (because otherwise, people just camp to get kills).
