Do you know how to use auto-production? Probably you do. But we always had the problem of auto produce on a big mass of territory on the poorest conditions. The fear comes when you receive the screen of "You don't have enough funds" and the game only buy you few troops in all your auto production cities. So you have either to cancel them manually or wait till next turn for auto produce again. How to solve this problem? Here is where I wanted to arrive Epic_win's auto-production trick: 0. Requirements!? Yeah, there's only one requirement, and is that you should have an extend territory before play. A little knowledge and experience in Auto production helps too!. What do I define as "extend"? more than 40 reinforcements. I could make a complicate formula that implies extension, amount of reinforcements and amount of money, but I guess it would be pretty hard to do.... so, I'll leave it to you whenever you should auto produce or not. 1. Auto production time! - Reinforcements turn. I was dueling on latin america, 2 minutes turn. This was my empire back at turn 17: I recheck that it was 2 minutes turn. So, ¿How to auto produce? First, Auto-Produce on your nearest but biggest countries. With near I mean those that are more near to the battle field. ¿Which ones? The ones you are sure you can afford to reinforce. In my example, I've only selected Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador. Next I clicked on the "Execute all" button of the auto production feature. 2. Still a lot of reinforcements left.... - Three turns before reinforcements turn. You'be asking why I only reinforced so few cities. Well I had other priorities, such as move troops, turn block, attack defend etc. ¿What's next? Reinforce the rest of your biggest countries. For this case I've choosed mexico, cuba, guatemala, san salvador and honduras. After selecting them, I've clicked once again, on the "Execute all" button. 3. Getting tough! .... - Two turns before reinforcements turn. So only the biggest countries were auto produced... I still have lot of reinforcements. For this part, manually reinforce the rest of your countries . Yeah, honestly until two cities with more than 7 reinforcements together, this works best than auto production. Just go and manually click on your countries, and buy up troops. 4. Almost there!!! .... - One turn before reinforcements turn. By this turn you should had buy all your reinforcements. If you did so, good job! If no, then there's a option for check for reinforcements available. In my example, I've used the city menu for watch the amount of reinforcements available. Apparently Panama was the only city that I've forgot to buy reinforcements. So I clicked directly there, and successfully accomplished my mission of buy up all the reinforcements. 5. Again? - Reinforcements turn. DO NO EXECUTE YOUR AUTO-PRODUCTION: If you execute it, you will end up making reinforcements everywhere, and with your limited economy you won't be able to use it on a efficient way. So cancel your auto production orders, and return to the 1st step. That's all folks! Share your auto production tricks!

I prefer to autoproduce the turn before reinforcement, because it will give me the most money before using all my reif. Also, I like having spare reif incase I need it for emergency or decide to try a new tactic. Of course, there are many ways and reason of when and where, so use your brain.

I used to do that, for upkeep cost.... but it have his drawbacks as well. I changed this when I was playing a game, PD eu vs PD asia, and the PD asian player that never stopped auto producing troops greatly outnumbered me on the battlefield (Middle east) by simply having more units than me on the area. All my stacks were still coming from egypt... I believe there must be a relation between the value of one country in the terrain where the battle is carrying on. Damm!, Auto producing have many manners that adapts to the circumstances.

Not trying to downgrade you man, but where's the trick? Auto-production saves a precious time, but even so, in large maps it becomes almost impossible to manage troops production while still doing the right moves in 4 minutes, specially if fighting a 2 front war, it becomes almost a no-brainer: product everything you can and trow it at your opponent. Thats why i prefer casual, unlimited time to manage and do the right moves; i prefer the feeling that i'm still playing an actual turn based strategy game where i can actually think my strat in the minimal details instead of an RTS where the numbers of times you click your mouse per second actually matters.

If you're talking about 4 minutes, imagine me, with 2 minutes game, whole central and half of southern america and still taking screenshots while using auto production Sometimes if you just auto produce everything you won't have enough money, and you will do a big mess. This trick helps you to save time. But I guess it is wortless for Casual types of games, where you have lot of time for buy your troops....
