AtWar: "Generals"

I believe I've seen this implemented in other games and it's a great idea -- generals.
Each new account starts out with a general of their choice all the way back to the ancient times. There would be a list of generals you can choose from, such as modern US generals today all the way to Roman leaders. The generals you choose would have levels -- each level gives you points. Those points can be used to purchase bonuses and benefits to help take the battlefield and could range from troop cost, special units, troop attack & defense bonuses and even the range of a certain unit. But the point system is where it all starts. For the point system, each game you win, dependent on the sp count, would earn you a certain amount of points. Let's say you get 1,000 sp from a game -- you would get 125 points. The higher the level of general, the higher an sp bonus you can get per game. Being a level 100 could get you a maximum bonus of 45%. Level 100 would require as much as 1,500,000 points to acquire (keep in mind that when you earn points, they aren't spent on the next level -- they are still spendable on benefits for your general). Interface would look something like this: http://prntscr.com/akb499 -- Chances are getting to 1,500,000 points would have to be bought from the AtWar store (points would be purchasable from anywhere such as 10,000 for as much as $25 to 250,000 for $125) unless you're like a level 12+ player. SP would not be purchasable -- points to upgrade your general would be. I know there is a general unit, but I think it'd be cooler to be able to name and customize it as another benefit.

SP would not be purchasable -- points to upgrade your general would be.

But the General is upgraded by SP already dude. Unless you're talking about an entirely separate General unit with its own points system. That's unlikely happen and would again be available only for premiums.

Rally the Troops is a little unfair, especially when it comes to strategies like SM/DS where a single bomber/heli can make all the difference in your expansion...A premium Ukraine versus non-premium Turkey

Of course and admins think how to gain money out of this game and it's the most logic thing a creator would do with his creation.
Anyway me and Clovis are just saying that you can't ignore that this game has the same stand as everyone.

And yet there are games that would have you buy upgrades and strats with real money, and customization with SP. AtWar doesn't do that. Plus you need some perks other than bigger games, and map editor+customization if you're spending 40$ on premium. AtWar is perfectly fine the way it is. And considering the admins don't even make that much money from it, I'm impressed they haven't upped the prices,instead splurging on (and making us happy with) merchandise.

If all upgrades and strategies or at least most of them were for premium,most of the players wouldn't be here.
It's not like all of us have the money to spend in internet games which in some years(maybe months sometimes) you will get bored of them,but this would be ridiculous.

Keep a low profile for...5-6 years? They're just crazy good at coding, not secret agents! Although if they were, that would be seriously cool

I do somehow partly agree with elcreyente though.

Maybe somehow generals should not be totally free, but there could be like a whole challenge list you have to do to unluck ONLY general. Other premium features should be still bought with money.

And the challenges for general should be totally unknown so it cant be farmed. It shouldn't show when you unlocked one challenge and what it was, people just should get a notification when they completed all challenges and can buy a general feature with those ''challenge points''

Just an idea though.

The generals wouldn't be free. I accidentally put every new player, but it would be added on to your current score if you had a general/premium.
