Copyright question.

In 3 days is supposed that is going to be released an alpha of "customaps".
The question is what happens if one player makes a map bassed in a history, like some fantasy-science fiction books or similar.
That dont brokes any type of laws of copyright and/or those things?

As long as it's not being sold as a original creation of a company its fine.
